Technical Project Lead
We're looking for someone who can sit at the intersection of clients, developers, and designers — keeping complex projects on track, translating between technical and non-technical stakeholders, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.

About the Role
We're looking for a Technical Project Lead to join our operations team. This is a role for someone who thrives on making complex things run smoothly — someone with enough technical literacy to speak credibly with developers, enough people skills to manage client expectations, and enough organizational discipline to keep multiple projects moving simultaneously.
You'll be the connective tissue between strategy, design, and engineering — running project timelines, facilitating communication, flagging risks early, and making sure deliverables land on time and at quality. You'll work closely with both the Loopdash team and directly with clients.
This is not a purely administrative role. We're looking for someone who understands how websites get built, can triage technical issues intelligently, and can push back constructively when scope, timeline, or quality is at risk.

About Loopdash
Loopdash is a small, independent digital design studio building websites and brand identities for mission-driven clients. We're a tight team that cares about craft, clean execution, and doing good work without layers of process getting in the way.
What You'll Do
- •Own end-to-end project delivery for a portfolio of client engagements — from kickoff through launch and into ongoing retainer work.
- •Build and manage project timelines, coordinate workstreams across designers and developers, and keep stakeholders aligned throughout.
- •Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on active projects — running status calls, writing clear updates, and managing expectations proactively.
- •Triage technical issues and bugs, communicate them clearly to the team, and follow through to resolution.
- •Identify scope creep, flag risks early, and help the team make fast, informed decisions about tradeoffs.
- •Improve how we run projects over time — documenting processes, identifying bottlenecks, and building better operational habits.
What We're Looking For
- •3–5+ years in a project management, technical account management, or similar role at a digital agency, studio, or product company.
- •Enough technical fluency to understand how websites are built — CMS platforms, front-end development, hosting, and basic debugging — without needing to write the code yourself.
- •Strong written and verbal communication. You can explain a technical issue to a non-technical client and a deadline to a developer, and both feel heard.
- •Highly organized with strong prioritization instincts — you can manage multiple active projects without dropping balls.
- •Comfortable with ambiguity and able to make decisions without having all the information. You know when to escalate and when to just handle it.
- •Low ego, high accountability. You'd rather solve the problem than be right about who caused it.
Nice to have: experience working with WordPress, familiarity with nonprofit or advocacy clients, or a background that straddles design and engineering.

What We Offer
Meaningful Work

Real Responsibility
You'll own outcomes, not just tasks. No hand-holding, no micromanagement — we hire people we trust and let them work.
Lean, Fast Team
Small team means faster decisions and less bureaucracy. Your input shapes how we work, not just what we deliver.
Hybrid Flexibility
Based in New York with a hybrid schedule — in-person when it matters, remote when it works. We don't track your location.
Competitive Compensation
Fair salary, transparent process. We'll talk numbers early so nobody wastes time.
Room to Grow
As the team grows, this role grows with it. We're looking for someone who wants to help build the operational foundation of the studio.
