About the Role
Loopdash is a small studio that designs and builds websites for real clients, fast. We're adding a contract designer to own design across a handful of active projects — working with our creative lead on direction and with our dev team on the build.
This is hands-on production design with real deadlines, not a strategy seat. You'll take a brief to build-ready in days, not weeks.
You're also the person keeping the project on track — running your own timeline, coordinating with the dev team, and being the point of contact for the client. Part designer, part project manager.

About Loopdash
Loopdash is a small, independent studio that designs and builds websites, brands, and digital products for real clients — and we work fast. We're a tight team that cares about craft, clean execution, and doing good work without layers of process getting in the way.
You're a fit if
- •You trained at an agency. You know agency pace — several clients at once, hard deadlines, feedback that changes on a Thursday — and it doesn't rattle you.
- •You design with AI in the loop. You use Claude and whatever else to get from brief to build-ready faster than people who don't. Not as a novelty — it's how you actually work.
- •You hand off clean. Your files make sense to a developer: real components, responsive states, real content. Bonus if you can push some of it to build yourself.
- •You can sit in front of a client, present a direction, and defend a decision without getting precious about it.
- •You run your own projects. You manage your own timeline, keep the dev team in the loop, and move work forward without waiting to be managed.
Not the right fit if
- •You run your own studio or agency. This is a seat on our team, not a partnership between two shops.
- •You need heavy hand-holding or a month to ship a landing page.
How to Apply
Send your portfolio and answer two things:
- •Walk us through one project and a design decision you'd defend.
- •Show us exactly how you use AI in your design process — which tools, where it speeds you up, and where it doesn't.
We run a short paid trial brief before either side commits.
Loopdash is committed to a fair and inclusive hiring process and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds.
What We Offer
Flexible Working Hours
Work the hours that suit you, from wherever you do your best work. We care about the output, not the time you clocked it.
Real Project Ownership
You run your own work end to end, with a direct line to the client. No account layer, no project management layer.
Varied, High-Impact Work
Small team means no narrow lane. You'll move across projects and clients that actually matter instead of owning one slice of one account.
Independent by Design
This is flexible, contract-based work, not a desk and a badge. You keep your autonomy and we keep the overhead off your plate.
Fair, Transparent Rates
We pay competitively and we're upfront about it. No salary-band guessing games, no negotiating in the dark.
Lean, Minimal Bureaucracy
A small studio means fewer meetings, less process, and faster decisions. Your time goes into the work, not into managing the machine.
